CHRIS MCCORD

My name is Chris McCord, I’m 31 years old, a husband of almost two years, and a proud father to my 8-month-old son.

Part of my passion for fitness and coaching comes from a moment I’ll never forget: seeing a dad who couldn’t run with his kids. I promised myself that would never be me. I had made my share of bad choices, but I refused to let complacency steal my health, my confidence, or my ability to show up for my family.

That moment ignited a fire in me—not just for myself, but for others. I started Dead To Comfort to help men, young adults, pastors, and leaders break free from the very things that hold them back: laziness, inconsistency, and a false sense of comfort. I know what it feels like to live stuck, but I also know the freedom and confidence that come when you build discipline and take control of your health.

Now, my mission is simple: to help men reclaim their lives, rebuild their confidence, and become the leaders their families and communities need.

Training and equipping men to break free from comfort, complacency, and laziness—so they can build discipline, consistency, and confidence, and step into the life God created them to live.

I’m busy with family and ministry. Will I really have time to train?

Absolutely. The program is designed for busy men who are called to lead at home and in ministry. With 30-60 minute workouts and structured plans, you’ll build consistency without sacrificing your priorities.

Do I need to be in shape already?

No! Whether you’re starting fresh or getting back on track, I’ll meet you where you’re at. This program is about building discipline and honoring your body, not chasing perfection.

Will I have to give up all my favorite foods?

Nope. We focus on balance and making wise choices, not extreme diets. You’ll learn how to eat to fuel your body and still enjoy family meals and gatherings.

What if I can’t make it to a gym?

I’ve got options for home workouts and gym workouts. All you need is some basic equipment (like dumbbells or bands) and a commitment to move.

How is this different from other fitness programs?

It’s not just about weight loss or muscle. It’s about discipline, mindset, and your identity as a man of God. I combine faith, fitness, and mindset coaching so you’re transformed from the inside out.

Will there be accountability?

Yes! In the coaching programs, you get weekly check-ins (online or in-person), daily support, and access to the Dead to Comfort community for faith-based encouragement and challenge.

What happens after the 8 weeks?
